Anything Like Me

I heard this song on the radio yesterday and it reminds me of Mark and Ryder so much! It totally fits both of their personalities. I love my boys too much!

Im gonna lose my temper and some sleep

It safe to say that im gonna get my pay back if hes anything like me

I can see him right now knees all skinned up

With a magnifying glass tryin to melt the Tonka truck

Wont he be a sight with his football helmet on

That'll be his first love til his first love comes along

He'll get his heart broke by the time hes in his teens

And heaven help him if hes anything like me

He'll probably stay out to late and drive his car to fast

Get a speeding ticket he'll pay for mowing grass

Hes gonna get caught skippin class and be ground for a week

Ryder's Adventure

(I know it's been a LONG time since I have blogged...Sorry all! Things have been so crazy lately! I will make this the longest blog I've ever done, Promise!!)

Last weekend we ventured to Meeker, Colorado to visit Mark. It's a 5 ish hour drive. Ry slept almost the whole way there!! (Thank Heavens!) It was so good to see him! I miss my hubby so much! There isn't much of anything to take pictures of in that town but I got a couple of Ryder :) Ry likes Dr Pepper in his sippy cup..

He also discovered Kleenex's...Lovely!

He was so proud of himself that he could get into the cabinet and he LOVED all the goods he found in there!

Whitney told me I don't blog enough and it makes her mad so here is my blog for the weekend:

I'm not excited for this week...In fact I'm almost dreading it. I will be working over 70 hours UGH!! The OT I work with is going out of town so I get to be over 17 patients in the Rehab Center and about 20 Home Health patients! SCARY!! That is alot of people for me! Good news is that it will be some extra moolah! Wish me luck!

Mark's birthday is Saturday...He may be home or he may not be. We don't know yet but hopefully he will find out tomorrow! Yay! I haven't planned anything for his b-day yet...Any suggestions??

I was just thinking about how caught up I get in the hustle and bustle of things everyday that I forget to absorb the little things that make me smile every moment of everyday. 

First of all I have an amazing husband that is willing to sacrifice his time to work out of state to improve our financial situation so our family will be in a better place soon. Also he is the most amazing person ever!! I am such a high strung person and he can mellow me out like no one else can. You have no idea how important that is. You are my sanity some days! Thanks for everything you do babe!!

Second I have the best baby boy EVER!!! He is so sweet, playful, happy, adorable, intelligent, and fascinating! Everyday he learns something new and it just fills my heart with so much love and joy when I get to see his beaming face when I pick him up. Those two boys and Baby D (Diesel) are my joy! 

Also I can't forget the rest of my fam... You guys are the best! Mom and dad, Clintie and Rachel, Whiz and Kev, Nannie, Grams and Gramps,  Steve and Ronda, Kearsta, Jeff and Titan, Grandma D and Sharon, and Grandma Viv and everyone else in the clan, We love you all so much and appreciate your love and support. I have the best family in the world!!

In closing I would just like to offer a challenge to you all.... Today for one minute just sit and reflect upon your "joys". Live in that moment and that moment alone for things can change so quickly without us even realizing it.

Ryder!

So Ryder had his 6 month check up last week... He is so big! He is 25 1/4 inches and 15 lbs 1 oz. He is in the 25th percentile for everything! Kinda a little guy but his parents aren't too big so it's fitting! I can't believe how fast they grow up! He is the cutest little guy ever! He says "da da" and "ma ma"  but only if he gets really upset! He just talks up a storm! Here are some of his new pictures...

Uncle Cookie!!

Last night Clint gave Ryder his first chocolate chip cookie! I know babies shouldn't have chocolate, but I figured hey it couldn't hurt!

Ry was not giving up that cookie for anything! If I tried to grab it from him he shoved it (and I mean shoved) back into his mouth!

He was a mess!! LOL It was in his ears, in his hair and all over me. It was lovely!

I hate to tell you this Clintie but now you have a reputation and he doesn't forget! He wasn't this happy all day long! It was so fun to see him excited and loving that cookie so much. Makes you realize it's the smallest things that make life so wonderful!

BIG Changes!

I posted on here a while ago that Mark had a secret...Well the big secret was that he has a new job! He will be working for a company called Weatherford. It is a company that works in many states across the western US testing oil pipelines.

The good news is it's more money and hopefully less stress than his current job. The bad news is that he will be working away from home for 30 days straight then home for 10 days. :( Most of the time he will be working in Pinedale and Rock Springs, Wyoming but could go as far away as California or Texas.

Those 30 days are going to be soooo long!! So anyone that wants to take on a new hobby with me please hollar! I am going to start running again as soon as it starts to warm up and I buy a jogging stroller!

Ryder turned 6 months old Saturday! WOO half birthdays rock! He is getting so big and is sooo cute! (Okay I may be a bit biased but hey he is too stinkin' cute!) I had to change his Dr appointment to this coming up Monday the 8th but we are going to get new pictures that day too. I will put them up and his stats as soon as I can!

So ReAdY fOr ThE wEeKeNd!!!

This week has been so crazy...feels like nothing happened but I am exhausted! Here is the run down...

-Monday: worked 11 hours...LONG day
-Tuesday: worked 10 hours...
-Wednesday: worked 10 hours again! Mark went on a secret adventure ( I'll tell you more when it isn't so secret) Had a yummy dinner :)
-Thursday: backed into the garage door (yes that happened before work at 6 AM!! Ugh way to start the day!) Worked 9 hours...waited for Mark to get home from a class in SLC
-Friday: DAY OFF!!! woo! Got the garage door fixed (It wasn't too bad afterall!) Went to lunch with my mommy and our work friends, hung out with Ry Ry, got my house cleaned and blog time!

Pretty lame week but oh well!

Another thought...Ryder is going to be 6 months old next week! Where has the time gone?? Seems like we just brought him home from the hospital.

Poor Ryder

Well I knew it was coming but I didn't want it to be so soon... Ryder got his first boo boo today, a shiner right on his sweet little head! It's my fault too so it makes matters even worse! The story goes like this...

Diesel's food dish was empty so being the compassionate pet lover I am I picked up his dish and headed downstairs where his food is kept. I layed Ry on the Lovesac but he immediately threw a fit so I picked him back up and figured I would just bring him along.

All was going well until the return trip. Wearing my trusty Dr Martens which are totally flat and not to mention slick on the bottom I somehow managed to trip myself coming up the stairs. I caught myself with my left hand, baby in the right but his sweet melon caught the edge of the dog dish which was wedged against the step...Needless to say poor Ryder go a 1.5 inch welt which I'm sure is going to bruise.

I felt so horrible! So we both sad on the stairs crying for a few minutes while Diesel cleaned up the stairs! Then he gave Ryder a kiss on the cheek! Such a sweet dog!

Hello there all our friends and family!! We kinda fell off the face of the earth but don't worry WE ARE BACK!!! It's about time for me to post the huge changes from our last blog (about 16 months ago).

We bought our first house! We started building at the first of 2009 and closed on May 5! Mark's parents were so wonderful and let us live with them during the whole building process. It was stressful but I'm so happy to have it now! I thought having my own house made me an adult but then...
